Where to start
Which banana to plant first
From UF/IFAS's banana guide. Panama disease (a soil fungus) and Sigatoka leaf diseases are the two problems it says limit bananas in Florida.
Goldfinger
UF/IFAS calls FHIA-01 'Goldfinger' an excellent dessert banana resistant to Panama disease and both Sigatokas, with good cold tolerance, and 'highly recommended' for the home landscape.
